Hunter Mountain to Open Sunday, December 1 for the 2024/25 Winter Season

Today, Hunter Mountain announced that it will open for the 2024/25 winter season on Sunday, December 1 at 9:00 a.m. In preparation for the 65th anniversary season, more than 200 snowguns ran top to bottom ensuring a solid base that will last into the spring. 

 

Opening Day Activities and Terrain 

We’re celebrating day one at the People’s Mountain with complimentary breakfast taquitos, a live DJ, special giveaways, and first chair celebrations at the new Broadway Express. Hunter will open with top to bottom terrain from the summit. Please be reminded that limited terrain and early season conditions exist.  

 

Looking Ahead to the Season   

Enhancing the guest experience tenfold, skiers and riders have a lot to look forward to this season at Hunter thanks to two new Epic Lift Upgrades increasing uphill capacity and a major automated snowmaking expansion this summer boosting snowmaking capabilities. Together, these enhancements are a pivotal move that aligns with Hunter’s commitment to providing a progressive learning experience for visitors of all ski and ride levels, from beginners to seasoned pros.  

 

Guests will enjoy a robust calendar stacked with new and returning events including a 65th Anniversary Celebration (1/11/25), Rail Jams, New Year’s Eve Bash, LGBTQ+ Ski & Ride Weekend, Denim Dash, and more.
