Everything You Need To Know

Attention Scouts! If you're looking to complete your Snow Sports Merit Badge, counselors will be on-site to help you through the process.

📌 What to Bring:

✔️ Your blue card signed by your Scoutmaster

✔️ A completed workbook

🏔 New to Skiing or Snowboarding? No problem! First-time skiers and riders can join a free beginner lesson and still earn a "Partial" completion on the merit badge. Many requirements (1-6) can be completed off-snow, with only requirement 7 needing skiing or riding ability.

📍 Where to Meet:

Look for the red flag in our Learning Center area near the rental building. Let us know if your Scout will be:

✅ Taking the free beginner lesson

✅ Completing all merit badge requirements

Schedule for the Day

11am – Meet by the red Mountain School sign at our Learning Center area by the rental building. The scouts will be grouped together to review your skills on the hill. For those scouts who are new to skiing/boarding, we will conduct a free beginner lesson at that time. About one hour.

12pm – Immediately following the review of the scouts’ skills or the free beginner lesson, we will complete the workbook review, followed by signing of blue cards in Sunrise Lodge.

For Scouts interested in completing their Snow Sports Merit Badge, counselors will be available both Saturday and Sunday. Scouts should bring their blue card signed by their scoutmaster and completed workbook.

*Please note: You do not need to complete the snow sports merit badge in order to ski or snowboard.*
