Corn Snow Alert!
Thank you Wildline Media Productions for this amazing photo you took of a beautiful sunrise shot of the mountain! Despite warming temperatures we still have plenty of snow. Cooler temps at night allows us to smooth out the corn snow from the afternoon and create some great corduroy for first tracks. Pack your sunscreen, layers and join us for some fun this weekend here at Oak Mountain.
Our Lollipop Races continue for ages 3 - 12 from 2:30pm - 3:30pm. They are a fun way for kids to work on fine tuning their turns and skills. Each week the kids win lollipops. Sign ups are in the ski school.
Join us in the Acorn, Saturday for some Aprés Ski to hear the music of singer, songwriter, musician, and entertainer John Hill from 2:00pm - 5:00pm. A soloist, John plays Marten acoustic guitars, sings with conviction, and accompanies himself with sweet, sometimes raucous harmonica solos. He plays a wide range of American music including country, folk, blues, rock, bluegrass, gospel, and standards. Come by the Acorn for some great fun and great food after a great day of skiing and riding!

Terrain Park Safety & Etiquette
Before hitting a freestyle terrain park, make sure you’re comfortable and can show control on your skis or snowboard. Read the signs at the terrain park entrance, which provide reminders on how to stay safe. Be sure to ride within your ability. Learn to watch for others. Where did they start, how fast are they going. It’s totally okay to ask someone how the parks work. It’s part of the community!
START SMALL - Work your way up. Build your skills.
MAKE A PLAN - Every feature. Every time.
ALWAYS LOOK - Before you drop.
RESPECT - The features and other users.
TAKE IT EASY - Know your limits. Land on your feet.
