Thank you to our chef, Carolyn Abel for sharing all her incredible talents with us over the last four years. She has been a tremendous asset and will definitely be missed as she continues to pursue her dreams. Although she may still pop in on occasion, please join me in wishing her the best!

Please join us in welcoming, Chef Justin Paterson to the Oak Mountain Family as the new Head Chef. Justin has been a part of the Oak Mountain Family part time for the last few years. He is former Chef of Hazel Nut Kitchen in Trumansburg NY, (but most of you know him locally as the school cook and owner of Pickles the puppy.)

Justin’s love of the kitchen began while working at Walt Disney World and became a passion while working in Chicago.  Looking for a more rural area where farmers share the same passion for food and agriculture, Justin moved to the Finger Lakes region.  His approach to cooking is simple by using the ingredients the farmers grow and highlighting their natural flavors.  Justin’s excited to be back in a restaurant setting and looking forward to being a part of the Oak Mountain family!

The Acorn reopens on December 5th, we look forward to seeing you there!

Thank you all!

A lot of work has been happening on the mountain getting ready for the 2024-25 season! Thank you to Jen, Brian and Bill for all your hard work cutting back skiers left of Fifth Ave and TLP Glades, the hydrants on Oak Mtn Run and a little cutting back on Crosscut. Skiing and riding them will be pretty great! Thank you Eric and Pops for all your hard work on various projects all over the mountain! Thank you Darren, Nick, Mark, Jude, Haakon and Mike for your work on refurbishing the rails for this year’s terrain park. We are really looking forward to a great season!

Save the Date!

Trails Are Still Open!

Come and enjoy the mountain for a hike or a bike before colder weather rolls in and the leaves are gone!  Take in the breath taking views from the top. Please download the Trail Forks App for up to date information on trail openings and closings as well as a map. All ages are welcome!
